Honest, fast, and accurate. The dealer was unable to diagnose the problem after 3 visits, but Burdi got it right the first time! Reasonable prices. Family owned and old fashioned family values!

I was heading to Chicago for a surgery consultation and my SL550 went into limp home mode. For those of you that it hasn't happened to yet that means it won't leave 1st gear effectively leaving you able to limp home. I limped to a petrol station hoping I could fix it by shutting it off a while. Nothing worked so I asked Meghan at the station if she knew a mechanic that I might call as I had to be in Chicago the next morning. She said try Burdi Motors. I called them after calling the nearest Mercedes Dealer who said they might be able to look at it Wednesday ! They knew I was stranded on a highway and literally said go Pound salt. After calling Burdi I realized they were 65 miles away. They sent a flatbed to meet me and fetch my car the next afternoon. They told me they knew what the likely issue was as in their words it happens to almost every Mercedes. So this crap car manufacturer knows this module will fail and leave you screwed but do they recall it.. NO, because it happens after 50k miles. Burdi went overboard in dealing with guess who Mercedes who wouldn't release the part without my personal signature and by then I was in a rental car going to PA. Car fixed picked up and all is working perfectly. They even had it detailed ! Thank you Carmine and everyone at Burdi Motors !!!!!@

We were having trouble with our Sprinter van, again... The Mercedes dealer gave us a huge quote to fix it and we were surprised, since much of the work was similar to a partial engine rebuild done under warranty just 50,000 miles before. We had another Sprinter expert look at it just to get a second opinion. He had the van for 2 weeks and suggested a similar course to what the Mercedes dealer did, i.e. new turbo, particulate filter, egr, manifolds, etc. At this point, with a van that has never run right since new, we figured we would just sell it for parts. As a last resort, we called Burdi, after seeing their online reviews. Carmine is super intelligent and seems to enjoy the challenge of really figuring out why there is a problem versus just reading codes and changing parts. He had a theory about the Sprinter, which proved to be right and we spent a fraction of what the other shops would have charged. He pointed out that the oil recommended in the owner's manual is actually wrong and can cause carbon build-up, which explained our engine rebuild. He and his technician's also gave the truck a thorough once-over and found some additional items which we were't thrilled about, but hey, they need to be done to save future problems. How nice to find someone professional, honest, and capable!

I appreciate this invitation for feedback. I really liked the guys I spoke with and loved the info they gave me. I'm guessing they did a great job on the work, but he sold me the wrong oil filter for my car. Not sure how that happened, but I would love a refund on that. Probably will come back just because I haven't found anyone else this good around Chicago.
